lyrics

V1
The birds and trees sing for me
They tell tall tales I can't believe
But I will not be fooled
There's no pleasure in being called
Back by some sirens song
That laments me ever being born

REF
I found a spot under the highest tree
Somewhere no one can find me
Then I take off my shoes
There's no sound but the whistling wind
And it asks no questions
And it gives no reply
Watching the clouds and the years pass by
Under the sea of trees

V2
I settled for this empty spot
I heard a voice speak out my name
And that the voice was mine
This forest path leads nowhere
But further in
To a fever dream
From which I can't escape
